Mona Elzayat, MSc., a breast cancer survivor, has dedicated her life to supporting patients with oncological and chronic diseases – first as President of “Europa Donna Austria” and thenas President of “Europa Donna – the European Breast Cancer Coalition” with forty-sevenmember countries.
Mona has worked on various European projects, including a project with the European Commission called „European Commission Initiative on Breast Cancer “, where she was speaker in the European Parliament.
Recently, she founded her own patient organization “Patient Portal” („PatientInnenportal“), which focuses on oncological and chronically ill patients. The aim of this organization is to educate, inform, raise public awareness, and make diseases visible that are often unseen to outsiders.
