Ilaria Mosca is an international health economist and financing expert with 20 years of professional experience in academia, governmental, and international organizations. Her areas of work are in health systems strengthening; health reform, policy, and performance; market monitoring and funding of health systems. Ilaria has worked with her company Tagliente on assignments for several international organizations, including the WHO Barcelona Office on financial protection in health systems in Europe/Central Asia and the World Bank on public expenditure reviews in the Caribbean. She has worked for different universities in Switzerland and the Netherlands and was visiting professor at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. From 2005 to 2014, Ilaria worked as a senior health economist for the Dutch Healthcare Authority and the Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis. In 2022, she worked for the German Cooperation Agency (GIZ) in a few African countries (Sierra Leone, Chad, Cameroon, Mozambique, Tanzania) and in Cambodia. Currently, she is engaged with the Swiss Development Agency in the Republic of Moldova and the World Bank in Slovakia.
